If you haven’t heard, Chat GPT is suddenly the most talked about innovation in the world of artificial intelligence (AI). This AI platform can, with some simple instructions, can generate “coherent, fluent text that feels human-generated”. My son, Reese, demonstrated the technology for me a couple of weeks ago and it is quite remarkable.

Shawn Helms is a local attorney and a friend of mine that also happens to be Reese’s father-in-law and he has co-authored an opinion piece with Jason D. Krieser that discusses the possible legal future of this technology. They are both partners at the international law firm of McDermott Will & Emery and co-heads of the firm’s Technology & Outsourcing Practice. The article was published in Barrons recently and I have linked it below if you are interested.
